White Girl Bleed a Lot
By Colin Flaherty
EXCLUSIVE TO THE DC POST
(Editor’s Note: Colin wrote this article exclusively for The DC Post. We stole the title from his most recent book, which deals with the epidemic of hidden violence of Blacks on Whites. Police departments, politicians and especially the media are conspiring to keep you from noticing this is going on. Please read this article, then buy Colin’s book. Then you, too, can be scared as hell at what is being allowed to happen out there).

After one year of reporting on black mob violence for a book, I am still surprised at how often and in how many places I find the problem is worse than I thought.
Dr. Thomas Sowell had the same reaction after reading White Girl Bleed A Lot: the return of racial violence and how the media ignore it:
“Reading Colin Flaherty’s book made it painfully clear to me that the magnitude of this problem is even greater than I had discovered from my own research. He documents both the race riots and the media and political evasions in dozens of cities across America.”
Many of these episodes are on YouTube: Black mobs pulling people out of cars and beating them. Marauding through downtowns, stealing cell phones and purses in restaurants. Stabbing. Killing. You name it. It’s a hot mess out there.
Today, to me, even more surprising than the criminals are the enablers. People in the media and public life who ignore, condone and even lie about the nature and extent of this new wave of racial mayhem.
The more you see it, the harder it gets to avoid comparing these enablers to the co-dependents of alcohol and drug abuse. Daddy might be on the couch drunk, but when work calls, just say he has the flu. And when he sends you to the store, hurry back with a bottle in a brown paper bag.
The shrinks tell us we are only as sick as our secrets. And nothing is more secretive than race. Not sex. Not money. Race and racial lawlessness.
Let’s look at some examples.
Chicago is Ground Zero, both for racial violence and those who ignore and condone it.
By Memorial Day weekend 2011, Chicago had been the site of dozens of recent examples of crowds of black people stealing, beating and threatening in the downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Though you would not know it from reading the newspapers.
Which is exactly what hundreds of black people were doing at North Avenue Beach. It was bad. So bad, the Mayor and Superintendent of Police decided to close the beach.
This is the same police official who blamed Saran Palin (yes, it is on video) for record levels of violence in Chicago. The same police official who a year later blamed the pilgrims for racial troubles. Yes, that is on video too.
My book is full of crazy links like this.
They said they closed the beach because it was too hot. Other beaches remained open.
When of course they closed the beach because it was too dangerous — and that is what people took to the Internet and talk radio to say. One Chicago radio station even broadcast the 911 calls, removing any doubt about the nature or extent of the danger.
Later, the Chicago Tribune defended its decision not to report on the race of the perpetrators on a whole series of black mob events because they said race had nothing to do with anything.
This, of course, is the same paper that has run thousands of stories about black caucuses, black teachers, black public employees and other black groups in all walks of life.
Many written by members of the National Association of Black Journalists.
But black mob violence is taboo.
Hey editor, I have the flu. Could you go to the liquor store and pick me up some medicine? Stolichnaya, please. I’m way past olives.
Near the Hamptons just a few days ago, local papers reported 750 people were causing mayhem in the streets at 2 a.m. They had to call in five neighboring police departments to stop the violence. It took hours.
Despite the advice one of my readers received from a St. Louis reporter that he did not report racial crime because everyone already knows the perpetrators are black, I had to make sure. So I checked the message boards and called the police, and confirmed this was a crowd of black people. And it was nasty.
So I fired off a few email to the city fathers asking what is up with a race riot in their town. It was not the first, by the way.
John Dunleavy, councilman in Riverhead, was the only one who replied:
“Thank you for your interest with happenings in our Town. This was simply a very large block party, with no incidents, and no action had to be taken.”
I am still waiting for a response to the follow up question: “Then your department over reacted when it sent an emergency (CODE 3) call to other departments that it needed help?”
I’ll let you know.
The local paper ran a story from the editor who said she knew there was no trouble because no one was arrested. That is pretty much what everyone calls reporting today.
In Wisconsin last Fourth of July, a hundred black people looted a store, then beat 10 people at a nearby park. Police didn’t arrest anyone or even take reports. To them it never happened.
That changed when the victims went to talk radio and the Internet, outraged. Plenty of video on that, too. That is where I got the name of my book: White Girl Bleed a Lot.
Surprised to find racial violence in Wisconsin? How about Peoria? Or Ames, Iowa? Or Minneapolis or Seattle or Portland or more than 60 other places around the country, big and small?
It is happening. And now lots of people are wondering what is next if George Zimmerman is acquitted. Or elections go a different way.
Police PR departments get very indignant when you ask the race question. Race had nothing to do with it, they ALWAYS say.
Yet the people involved in the riots and mayhem are almost always the same race. If you notice, you are racist. You have the problem, not them.
One more example: Greensboro, North Carolina just a few weeks ago after the Fourth of July fireworks.
A crowd of 1000 black people raced through downtown, breaking, beating, the usual. This kind of racial violence had happened nearly a dozen times over the last year in the same area. Yes, I confirmed it though multiple sources.
So I fired off an email to the police spokesman and this is what I got back:
“First and foremost, I think it would be highly inaccurate to describe those events as racial violence. Secondly, the issue during the evening was disruptive behavior, not rioting mobs and certainly not mobs of people of one particular race. Of the approximately 1,000 people downtown that evening, only two were arrested (a third was cited for disturbing the peace) and all ranges of ages and race were included in the crowd. Unfortunately, there were some folks at the event who elected to act inappropriately and disrupt the peace. Greensboro Police ultimately disbanded the majority of the crowd and peace was restored among the disruptive group through the selective use of tear gas.”
Curiously, these mobs of marauding White and Asian hooligans never seem to make it to YouTube.
Of course the crowd was mixed. Some were predators. Some were victims who were in that neighborhood because their local police and media did not have the courage and integrity to tell them the truth about the danger they were in.
That is cowardly. That is dangerous.
And oh yeah, having the greatest thinker of the age write a laudatory column featuring your book, that is very cool.

great book. just read it on my ipad. wild. especially since it has lots of links.
With many liberal city governments there is a complete failure to address the elephant in the room. Racial violence is a reality and the denial and the failure to address it only encourages its practice by the urban black youth culture. The ready acceptance of so many in government and law enforcement is criminal in its negligence and failure to protect the members of the public targeted by these attacks. That should be the priority, protect the public, officials refusing to do so are drawing pay under false pretense.
