A poll just conducted shows that Americans, by a 2 to 1 margin, prefer Mitt Romney over Barack Obama to get the economy moving in the right direction. If this is true, it is the worst possible news for the Obama re-election effort.Without the option of running on his record, Obama has resorted to a campaign of destruction of Mitt Romney as a credible candidate. It’s all he has to work with.

In order for this strategy to work, Obama has to convince Americans to ignore his dismal record, ignore the catastrophic economy, and give him four more years to continue his failed policies. That doesn’t seem to be working, if this recent poll is accurate. How do you convince a person who has been unemployed for 3 years that things are really better? You can’t.
