Pop-up Gallery Features ‘Images of Protest & Dissent’: January 19

-

Works by 20 local photographers under the theme Images of Protest & Dissent will be displayed in a pop-up photo show at Johnny Pistolas, 2333 18th St NW, Second Floor, Washington, D.C. 20009 on January 19.

“Part exhibition, part party, it highlights memorable photos taken by amateur photographers and makes those photos the heart of a truly social event with themed drinks, auction items, games and prizes,” notes the event brief.

The photographers whose work will be showcased in the exhibition include Soe San Aung, Sacha Khan, Victoria Chamberlin, Andrea Diconi and Ashley Tillery, among others.

The curated show will display large-format images where attendees can also meet the photographers in a collegial gallery space. The show is scheduled for the night of the Women’s March in Washington, D.C.

Those aged 21 and older can attend the show. The event location, Johnny Pistolas, is centrally located in D.C.’s “Adams Morgan” neighborhood.

The tickets are priced between $17 and $19 and are non-refundable.
