-

The U.S. Small Business Administration‘s (SBA) 2019 National Small Business Week will run from May 5 through May 11 in Washington, D.C.

It is an annual event that aims to recognize top small businesses, entrepreneurs and advocates. “Every day, small businesses create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, support our neighborhoods and cities,” said the event’s press release.

This year’s edition will be featuring meetings with local entrepreneurs and roundtable discussions with community leaders in Florida, Texas, and Utah.

Moreover, SBA Administrator Linda McMahon announced that outstanding small business owners will be honored at the event, as well. “They have shown tremendous dedication and perseverance. They are the job creators that fuel our economy and best represent the nation’s 30 million small businesses,” she said in the press release.

In addition, a two-day Virtual Conference by SBA and SCORE Association, a non-profit providing free business mentoring, will also take place on May 7-8. Registration is free and participants can join all the webinars on chosen topics.
