District Records Six Homicides in Three Days With Sunday’s Killing

The murder of a woman in Southeast DC on Sunday marked the District’s sixth homicide in just three days.

Noelle Wilson of Northeast DC was found dead by members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s (MPD) Seventh District in the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast, on Sunday, October 11. She reportedly died from multiple gunshot wounds at around 3 am.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs of life.

Three other killings took place in the District on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10.

One of the victims was Eugene Miller, a 41 year-old man of Brandywine, MD, who was shot in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast around 11:22 pm on Friday.

Yisa Jeffcoat, 28 year-old man of Southeast DC, was killed around 9:56 pm on the same day in the 1600 block of W Street, Southeast.

Another fatal shooting occurred after a shooting on Saturday in the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast. The victim who later died at a local hospital was identified as 25 year-old Darnell Mack, of Northeast DC.

Two adult males, identified as 59-year-old Marcus Nelson, and 39-year-old Simmeon Williams, both of Northeast DC, died on Saturday following a shooting in the 1700 block of Irving Street, Northeast.

Detectives from MPD’s Homicide Branch have launched separate investigations into all three incidents, according to statements by the police.

MPD offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that can provide information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators involved in any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
