DC Fire Searching for Female Suspect in Multiple Shaw Arsons

The DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department is seeking a woman suspected to be involved in a number of fires that recently broke out in the Shaw neighborhood.

The overnight fires that took place over the course of two weeks were fueled by “common combustibles,” according to a statement released by DC Fire on Monday.

There has not been any serious property damages so far as the fires have been set outdoors, the Department explained.

DC Fire also shared a photo of the suspect on social media, asking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate her.

Anyone who has information of the suspect or the arsons is asked to contact Fire Investigator Tomi Rucker at 202-904-6232, or call the arson tip line at 202-673-ARSON (2776). Callers may submit their tips anonymously.
