The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a 15-year-old boy in relation to the fatal stabbing of a 16 year-old in Northeast DC on Sunday.
The incident took place at an apartment located in the 3500 Block of Jay Street, Northeast DC at around 1 pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021, a release by MPD said.
Members of the Department’s Sixth District responded to the address upon receiving reports about a stabbing in the area. Officers found a teen male victim suffering from a stab wound at the described location.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) members also arrived at the scene and took the victim to a nearby hospital. However, doctors failed to save the life of the boy, who succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was later identified by MPD officers as 16 year-old Marquette Galloway, of Northeast DC.
The 15-year-old suspect, whose name has not been announced, has been charged with second-degree murder while armed.
The cause of the incident was a domestic dispute according to DC police.
