Two-Year-Old Dies After Falling From Window in Northwest DC

A two-year-old boy died after he fell from an apartment building window on Connecticut Avenue in Northwest DC on Thursday, according to police.

The incident took place at 4545 Connecticut Avenue in the Van Ness area at around 1 pm. The child reportedly fell from the eighth-floor of the building.

A dentist performed CPR on the boy while a woman who lives in the building called 911.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived at the location and transported the boy to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

NBC Washington reported that at least one parent of the boy was home at the time of the fall. DC police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
