A 65-year-old woman was shot and killed in Southeast Washington on Wednesday night; the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) released a photo of a vehicle of interest.

The incident took place in the 1800 block of Q Street, Southeast at approximately 10:00 pm.

MPD’s Sixth District responded to the location following reports of gunshot sounds, and found the victim, later identified as 65 year-old Ella-Mae Neal, of Southeast DC, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a police statement.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) members took Neal to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
