DC Musicians Play Beatles Love Songs for Valentine’s Week

A wide range of D.C.-based musicians will be performing love songs by The Beatles at The Hamilton on Saturday, February 8 for the sake of Valentine’s Week.

In its seventh edition, the event will feature Kipyn Martin, Magical Mystery Girls, Brian Simms, Bumper Jacksons Duo, Brandon Combs, The Lofgren Brothers, Todd Wright, Tom Lofgren, Cal Everett, Chuck Sullivan, Ronnie Smith and Ronnie Newmyer.

“What’s better than love and The Beatles? Put them together and you have a dream date for Valentines week,” the event brief says.

“Now in its seventh year, Love Songs; The Beatles features a wide array of D.C.’s most exciting vocal talents as they take on fab four’s epic catalogue of songs celebrating love in its many splendors and guises. With new performers and songs keeping it fresh each year, this show will remind you why The Beatles’ colossal impact on popular music endures a half a century later.”

For a ticket priced at $25 – $75, music fans of all ages are welcome to attend the concert organized by the Newmyer Flyer. Couple’s package is also available.

The venue opens its doors at 6:30 p.m. and the performances are scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.

The organizers are partnering with Rooam, a smartphone app, which will allow participants to pay their bar tab through their phones.
