BrewLights, a ticketed microbrew and craft beer event will be held at the Smithsonian National Zoo on November 29.
Dedicated to adults, beer lovers can enjoy unlimited tastings from over a dozen local craft breweries at the event. Snacks and food from food trucks and vendors will also be available. National Zoo will also display colorful ZooLights at the event.
Several exhibits will give people access to the animals at the zoo for viewing and entertainment purpose.
“Guests can enjoy beer tastings from dozens of breweries and sample complimentary snacks, all under the bright lights of Washington, D.C.’s favorite holiday tradition,” according to National Zoo statement. “All proceeds support the critical work of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute—including species preservation and animal care.”
Participating breweries include, among others, 7 Locks Brewing, Alewerks, Atlas Brew Works, Barrel Oak Farm Taphouse, The Bruery, Two Roads Brewing, Union Craft Brewing, Vasen Brewing Company, Denizens Brewing Co., Escutcheon Brewing Company and Fair Winds Brewing Company.
Tickets for members cost $50 and $60 for non-members. Unlimited beverage tastings are included in the tickets.
Since BrewLights is an adult event, the visitors should be at least 21 years old and show a valid photo ID for entry. Infants and children are not allowed.
