-

Three men armed with rifles robbed Busboys and Poets in Northwest DC on Sunday, February 6, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said in a statement.

The incident took place at around 9:29 pm at the restaurant, located in the 400 block of K Street Northwest.

The suspects walked into the restaurant and one of them demanded money from an employee while wielding a firearm. Two others in the group were also holding firearms. They took property and escaped in a dark colored Volvo sedan, according to police.

The First District of MPD is seeking help from the public to identify and locate the suspects involved in the offense. Police are also searching for the sedan as a vehicle of interest.

The Department released a picture of one of the suspects that was captured by surveillance cameras, as well as an image of the vehicle.

Law enforcement officers encourage anyone with information on the incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or submit their tip to MPD’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

Currently, DC police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of a violent crime committed in the District.
