The Capital Pride Alliance, the organization behind annual LGBTQ Pride Parade in the District of Columbia, announced Thursday its 2020 theme as “#StillWe”, marking the beginning of the Pride season.
“This year’s theme campaign, #StillWe, is a powerful statement about the resilience, struggles, celebrations, and pride that exist within our community. It honors the battles that have paved the way for the progress we now enjoy, while acknowledging the tremendous work that is still left for us to do,” the group’s statement said.
“In spite of extreme adversity facing members of the LGBTQ+ community, we must come together to support, love, resist, and, thrive.”
