The Museum of the Palestinian People (MPP), a non-profit organization, is planning to open in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood in Washington, D.C. in early 2019. The museum will celebrate the Palestinian identity and culture in the capital.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will be officially sworn in as mayor on January 2 at Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Bowser will become the first female mayor to be sworn in for two terms.
