New Conrad Washington DC Hotel Opening in February

-

A new Conrad Washington, D.C. hotel with 360 rooms and 10 floors will be opening in D.C. in early February next year.

The new hotel comes with a new rooftop bar and a restaurant. Situated next to the convention center, the new hotel will be part of CityCenterDC, a new mixed-use development housing over 35 high-end retail stores.

The overall concept of the hotel was created by Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. Beijing’s Olympic Stadium and The Tate Modern in London have also been designed by the same firm. HKS Inc. is the record and production architect on the project.  The interiors of the hotel have been designed by consultant Rottet Studio.

Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, “Top Chef” alumni and James Beard Nominees, will be overseeing Estuary, the signature restaurant of the hotel. The hotel’s event catering menu will be handled by the Voltaggios.

Guests can also gain access to the Sakura Club space on the 10th floor of the hotel for club level guestrooms and suites. The ground level of the hotel will provide more space for retail stores like Tiffany’s.

The hotel will have 100 percent of its space for events and meetings above ground – the only luxury hotel in D.C. to have this facility. The hotel will also have two ballrooms, one at 7,626 square feet, another at 3,300 square feet, and three outdoor terraces.

Apart from five boardrooms, an events terrace and rooftop bar will offer a panoramic view of the Capitol.
