The 2018 Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair, where unique goods from independent artists are exhibited and sold, will be held in D.C. from October 27 to 28th.
In its 15th year, the fair is hosted by D.C.’s premier newsweekly, The Washington City Paper. Unique and unconventional goods and art pieces will be displayed and sold at the fair. The customers can also meet the makers and artists. The fair offers unique and ethnic goods, bringing together independent artists, makers and other creative people from varied backgrounds.
“If you’re looking for that one-of-a-kind gift or shopping for something that can add a little personality to your home, Crafty Bastards D.C. is the place to be,” according to the fair website.
Visitors can also meet the vendors at the fair and get more information about their design and production processes.
Handmade clothing and accessories, handcrafted jewelry, toys, pottery, furniture, locally produced food and beverages among other unique goods will be on display at the fair. Those who display their goods at the fair have to go through a competitive jury process after which they’re selected to showcase their goods. All vendors are allowed to make their own pop-up shops to exhibit their goods at the fair.
Visitors can get tickets for $8.00 at the door for one-day entry, and the ticket price for both days is $12.00. Entry is free for kids 12 years and under.
Visitors can also buy food at the fair from food trucks and local food vendors.
The fair will take place on Lot A at The Yards Park, close to the baseball stadium between First Street and New Jersey Avenue along M Street SE, Washington DC 20003.
