The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will celebrate the 3rd Annual DPR Rec Day on September 29 at Randal Recreation Center, South Capitol ST. and 1ST., SW.
Participants will be able to play free sports activities like kickball, flag football, bubble soccer, rock climbing wall, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and tennis. D.C.’s talent will also be on display at the event in a teen fashion show, and in matches like youth basketball scrimmage, tiny mites football, and amateur boxing matches.

The event will also feature live performances by Black Alley, Bela Dona, Hot Cold Sweet, and T.O.N.E.
Several activities for children, including face painting, moon bounces, video game competitions, a giant chess set, bicycles and big wheels, arts and crafts, and hamster wheels are also lined up at the event. The attending kids will be provided with free food and refreshments.
DPR Rec Day this year will also offer #FITDC ZONE where the participants can benefit from fitness vendors, fitness clinics, fun competitions and much more.
