Girls Robotics Workshop to be Held on October 20

-

DcConnectGirls’ Robotics Workshop for girls aged between 11 and 16 will be held on October 20 at the Southwest Family Enhancement and Career Center.

The workshop will teach girls about computers and technology and train them on how to build and program a robot. Girls will also participate in drone flying contests and get to know about career prospects in technology and robotics.

DcConnectGirls program aims to bring girls closer to the latest technology, teaching them how to create websites and program apps. The program was created as part of the local dcConnectHome initiative by District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) in partnership with NCWIT AspireIT and SheSoft – both organizations owned by women. The organizations work towards bridging the gender gaps in the technology sector.

Registration for the workshop can be done till October 17.
