India’s Indiva Marketing Appointed as Representative Firm for Washington, DC

Destination DC has chosen Indiva Marketing, which represents some of the best international destinations and luxury hotels, for carrying out all its trade and media relations in India.

Destination DC is the official destination marketing organization for Washington DC. “In 2017, the city welcomed an estimated 88,000 visitors from India, making it DC’s seventh overseas market. Washington, DC is strongly committed to the Indian market and will focus on extensive trade, marketing and communication initiatives in collaboration with Indiva Marketing to increase awareness,” said Elliott L. Ferguson, II, president and CEO of Destination DC.

In the Brand USA India Sales Mission to Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru, which was held recently, Destination DC participated and deliberated with the media, buyers, tour agents and representatives of various airlines on the best of what Washington, D.C. has to offer for the Indian tourists.

Washington, D.C. promotes the best of D.C.’s museums, art galleries, memorials and the restaurant scene through their “DC Cool” brand which is projected across media and social media platforms. “Discover the Real DC” is another ad campaign from the organization which promotes the best experiences D.C. can offer for the tourists.

Washington, D.C. is set to invest $11.5 billion additional funds in development, and over 4,500 hotel rooms will also be created which is expected to attract thousands of Indian families to visit and experience the city.
