The owner of the house who arrived later told the first responders that the place was not supposed to be occupied. However, crews rescued one man from inside the house. He was transported to a hospital with critical life-threatening injuries and died later.
In a separate incident, an investigation has been launched into a conflict between firefighters from the District and Prince George’s County, which jointly responded to a vehicle fire Saturday night near the DC-Prince George’s County, Maryland, border.
Members of a Prince George’s Country fire crew are accusing DC Fire and EMS firefighters of obstructing their work.
