A man who was shot in the head by a woman in a recent road rage incident in Northwest DC died at the hospital, police said on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred near the Naval Observatory on Massachusetts Avenue on April 15, after a woman driving a sedan reportedly sideswiped the victim’s SUV while they were both driving northbound.
The drivers got out of their vehicles and got into an altercation. They returned to their cars and continued northbound. Then the woman pulled her car in front of the victim’s SUV, blocking him, according to a witness riding with the victim.
While the man in the SUV tried to go around the woman’s car, she exited her vehicle and fired several rounds at the victim’s car.
The victim who was shot in the back of his head succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, April 27. He has been identified as 49-year-old Oscar Rodas of District Heights, Maryland.

MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
