A manhole cover exploded in Northwest DC Wednesday night near Logan Circle, damaging a parked car in its bumper.
The incident took place in the 1300 block of Vermont Avenue Northwest.
PepcoConnect was seen on the scene attempting to isolate power.
Members of the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department checked adjacent structures for any extension via electrical panels.

At the time of the explosion, DC Fire and EMS was reportedly investigating a carbon monoxide leak in an apartment building in the area.
Authorities evacuated the three-story building as part of the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
