Loyalty Bookstore is planning to open a new pop-up location on October 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Silver Spring, MD for the holidays one more time.
The announcement came on Tuesday from the founder and owner of the independent bookstore, Hannah Olive Depp, along with her partner Gene Taft, according to Source of the Spring.
The new pop-up place will emerge at 823 Ellsworth Dr. Silver Spring, MD, 20910, which used to house Color Me Mine. You will also get to chat with the owners “about what books, programs, and gifts you’d like to see in your community independent bookstore.”
A picture book storytime is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and free balloon animals will be at 12:00-3:00 p.m., while free coffee, tea, and hot cider will be available all day long.
In addition, you will get a “blind date with a book with every purchase of over $50” and a “gift tote bag with purchase of over $100.”

The bookstore had another pop-up spot last year in the old location of Lincoln’s Bar-B-Que.
“Starting mid-October, 2019 Loyalty will return to Downtown Silver Spring, MD. We loved being a part of the community for a Holiday pop-up in 2018 and are excited to have a more robust pop-up and a long-term lease in the works for Silver Spring going forward,” Loyalty says on its website.
Loyalty opened in D.C.’s Petworth neighborhood in the former Upshur Street Books (USB) space, which is on the corner of Upshur and Georgia, on Valentine’s Day this year.
“Owner Hannah Oliver Depp loved USB and has been proud to continue its tradition of supporting Petworth literati and grow its children’s selection and programming as well as honing the inventory to feature highly curated, intersectional, and diverse literature,” the business’s website says.
Loyalty will also host free children’s book story time on Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.
