Events that were scheduled to take place on the RFK Campus from June 8 have been postponed by Events D.C. that owns and operates the venue in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
“On behalf of the Events D.C. team and our Board of Directors, we have determined it to be in the best interest of all our residents to postpone upcoming events at our venues and extend suspending operations and services until further notice,” Events D.C. announced in a statement on May 25.
“We thank Mayor Muriel Bowser for her steadfast leadership during these unprecedented times to help keep our community healthy and safe,” added the statement.

The extension of suspending events includes the RFK Stadium, D.C. Armory, D.C. Armory Mall, the Fields at RFK Campus, Playground at The Fields, Events pavilion at The Fields, the Fields Parking Lot, RFK Festival Grounds, RFK Campus Parking Lots, the Lawn at Oklahoma Ave., RFK Campus batting cages, RFK Farmers’ Market, Playground at The Fields, Events pavilion at The Fields, RFK Campus Batting Cages and the RFK Campus Skate Park.
Gateway D.C., R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, which has turned into an alternate care site for coronavirus patients, will also remain closed to the public.
Events D.C. added that was in constant communication and cooperation with Mayor Bowser’s Office, the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, as well as the D.C. Department of Health, for guidance and additional information.
