Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Memorial Stadium will welcome movie-goers in its parking lot on Sunday, December 13, from 6 pm to 9 pm (EST) for a special drive-in screening of a holiday classic: Home Alone.
Organized by MG Residential as a “festive holiday cheer for the entire family,” the event is the first in a series of drive-in movie showings at the stadium.
There will also be an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest at the venue between 6pm and 7 pm, during which attendees can enjoy holiday music, giveaways, and more festive fun.
MG Residential and The Menkiti Group, in partnership with DC’s Wohlfarth Galleries, hold the Annual Brooklands Celebration of Lights Trolley Tour every year around this time. However, this year’s tour has been canceled due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the event brief.
The tickets are $20 per car. You can reserve your spot for the kid-friendly event through Eventbrite. RFK Stadium is located at 2400 East Capitol Street, Northeast DC.
After purchasing the ticket, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a COVID waiver that all participants must show at the entrance.
Organizers will open the doors at 6 pm, and the movie will start at 7 pm.
