Samsung Electronics Opens Solutions Center in DC

-

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. on Tuesday celebrated the opening of its Solutions Center in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The multi-use center will mark the presence of company leadership and make an impact in the capital.

CEO and President of Samsung’s worldwide IT and Mobile division, DJ Koh, and President and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America, Tim Baxter, hosted the opening event.

The Solutions Center, which is equipped with interactive facilities, is located at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. The center will use the company’s technical strengths, offering Samsung B2G customers and other partners a secure Wi-Fi, a working space, and an opportunity to interact with the technical staff about Samsung products.

Samsung’s Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of IT and Mobile Communications, Terry Halvorsen said that they’ll leverage their experience with the federal government customers to develop mission-ready solutions.

“Samsung’s unique breadth of expertise across 5G, tailored mobile solutions, end-to-end security and workforce transformation allow us to drive towards improved government end-user experience and productivity,” said Halvorsen. “This new space at 700 Penn is a center for innovation and provides opportunities to engage, support and educate government customers, policymakers and technology leaders.”

The center will also provide a space to convene for meetings, fundraisers, town halls and dinners, accommodating between 25 to 150 people at a time.

“This investment in the nation’s capital further solidifies Samsung’s commitment in Washington and in the U.S. We will continue to be a convener on all things technology as we look ahead toward the next 40 years of innovation,” said David Steel, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Samsung Electronics America.

Being close to the Capital Hill, the new Solutions Center will help Samsung to inform lawmakers and government customers about the values and the history of the company and its commitment to America.

“For 40 years, Samsung has invested in U.S. employees, partners and facilities, because engaging customers and innovators is what pushes us forward and drives American technology leadership,” added Steel.
