Reward Offered for Help in Southeast DC Armored Car Robbery

The FBI’s Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are offering a reward of up to $10,000 each for information that helps identify and arrest the perpetrators involved in the armed robbery of an armored car in Southeast DC.

The incident took place on Wednesday, October 6, at around 9:30 am in the 1300 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast.

Three suspects who were brandishing firearms robbed an armored car security guard, stealing the money he was transporting to a SunTrust bank, along with other property.

The FBI released three photos of the suspects taken from surveillance camera footage, and called on anyone with information on the robbery to call its Washington Field Office at (202) 278-2000 or DC police at (202) 727-9099. (Local FBI offices and American embassies or consulates can also be contacted.)

The FBI also noted in its statement that additional reward money may be available for those submitting tips.
