Third Annual Deaf Celebration Day to Be Held in DC

The 3rd Annual Deaf Celebration Day will be held on September 22 at Gallaudet University (Chapel Hall) in recognition of September Deaf Awareness Month.

The event will be held in partnership with the DC Relay, Gallaudet University, the National Association of the Deaf, DC Commission on Persons with Disabilities, Anthem, the DC Developmental Disabilities Council, the DC Department on Disability Services, the National Association of the Deaf, Deaf-Reach, and Age Friendly DC.

The ASL performers and deaf talent will be performing at the event. Meets with the local Deaf-Focused organizations, resources, and programs offered in the community are also lined up. Attendees will learn about the rights of residents who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing.
