Two DC Hotels Included in Travel + Leisure’s 14th Annual It List

-

Two Washington, D.C. hotels landed on the Travel + Leisure magazine’s 14th annual It List which is a special selection of the best new and renovated hotels from across the world.

Eaton D.C. and The Line D.C. are the two D.C. hotels included in the list. Founded by Katherine Lo, Eaton D.C. is located at K Street, and together with its facilities, the hotel is promoted as an “incubator for arts and culture, a beacon for sustainability, a hub for impact initiatives, a holistic healing center, and a global media presence.”

The Line D.C., which is located at 1770 Euclid Street NW, is a 220-room hotel situated in a former church. The hotel features original art and micro-libraries in every room. It also hosts an Internet talk radio station and the nonprofit Adams Morgan Community Center.

“Hotels are a prominent part of the travel experience, which is why we devote an entire issue to this topic each year. With more than 70 hotels chosen from a colorful escape in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to two safari resorts in Namibia, we’re excited to share why these properties excite us, how they connect us to people, and the many ways they provide comfort when we’re far from home,” said Jacqueline Gifford, Editor in Chief of Travel + Leisure.

Every year, the magazine’s editors scan hundreds of hotels around the world to come up with a list of hotels that offer excellent setting, design, and service. Then the global network of Travel + Leisure writers, contributors, and agents further narrow down the list.

Launched in 1971, the U.S. edition of Travel + Leisure is the only monthly consumer travel magazine in print in America. The magazine’s website and social media accounts have over 13 million followers.

The full list of hotels is available on Travelandleisure.com, and also in the March print issue which can be bought at newsstands.
