“I Am A Masterpiece,” the fourth annual reception benefitting the organization “I Am, We Are” (IAWA), will be hosted by the Embassy of South Africa in Washington, D.C. on June 20.
IAWA, also known as “I am because we are,” is dedicated to “empower youth with the tools to confidently own their future.”
A virtual and live silent auction will be held, along with live entertainment, while hors d’ouevres and beverages will be available.
The event will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa, 3051 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest, Washington, D.C. 20008. Ticket prices range from $85 – $5,000 and refunds are only possible if the reception is cancelled.
“We give our ambassadors an understanding of self, stretch their belief in who they can be, and teach them how to apply the principles of entrepreneurship to create the future they envision for themselves,” IAWA says on its website.
With this year’s theme, “I Am A Masterpiece,” the event will celebrate “the masterpiece in the making and work of art that is each of us.”
The organizers promise to give the attendees a chance to learn more about the participants of I Am, We Are.
Auction items can be viewed here. But please note that the auction closes on June 20. Shipping is provided to the winners who are not present at the auction.
Among the sponsors of the reception are Award-winning author Kat Kronenberg; Communicate with Integrity, Inc.; Inspira Marketing; IBS Management & Consultancy Services, LLC; NEA Foundation; Stefan Coleman, Realtor; The Royal Marang Hotel, DJ Ant Live and many others.
