Law enforcement officers in Washington, D.C. have been looking for the perpetrator of three separate armed robberies that took place within three days, where the victims were transgender women.
According to D.C. police, all three events, one of which happened on July 22 and the other two on July 24, all in Northeast D.C., bear the same characteristics, aside from targeting transgender individuals.
Each incident was in the early morning hours, with the suspect stepping out of a car, approaching the victim, holding her at gunpoint and asking for property. He left the scene in a dark Jeep SUV after committing all three robberies, according to the victims.
The authorities believe that the same person is behind all of the three crimes and are seeking help from the general public to identify him, who was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s and five feet seven inches to five feet 11 inches in height. He reportedly has a medium build and was wearing brown or tan overalls, along with a black skull cap.
Anyone who is able to identify the suspect or has knowledge can call 202-727-9099 or text 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered to those who can give information that helps the police find the suspect.
