DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) said that two wedding parties at the Four Seasons Hotel had to be interrupted when a fire broke out at the premises on Saturday.
The hotel located in the 2800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest DC was evacuated due to the fire in the duct system that started in a restaurant on the ground floor around 5 pm and spread to multiple floors.
No injuries were reported by DC Fire and EMS.

“They had to jump through hoops to be able to have a wedding reception in the COVID era, and so they were finally able to accomplish this and then a fire breaks out,” said Vito Maggiolo of DC Fire and EMS told NBC Washington.
One of the weddings reportedly happened hours later in the hotel’s courtyard, while the other was relocated to another hotel in town.
