DC Police Looking for Two Women Over Theft of $10,000 Worth of Gucci Bags

-

Two women are accused of stealing $10,000 worth of Gucci bags from a store in the District’s Chinatown last month.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate the women, who were captured on a surveillance camera.

In a video released by the police, the two suspects can be seen entering the store, one of them grabbing multiple bags from a stand and placing them into a paper bag she brought with her.

The other woman acted as a lookout for the other to use a “cutting instrument to remove the listed property from a locked cable,” according to DC police.

The women then leave the store without making any payment.

The incident reportedly took place on the 1000 block of I Street Northwest on April 17 at approximately 2:30 pm.

Anyone who can identify the suspects or who has knowledge of this incident is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or submit their tip to the Department by texting to 50411.
