Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), an animal shelter in the District, announced that another one of the seven recently kidnapped puppies has been returned and reunited with his mother.
The pup, Apollo, was purchased by a family, who were unaware of the situation and brought him back to the shelter after they found out, according to HRA.
The HRA team is hoping to return Apollo with the family when he is old enough to be separated from his mother Godiva.
Godiva’s litter of seven newborns was kidnapped several weeks ago while they were all in a foster home, after she gave birth in early August. She was found abandoned and tied to a pole.
Last night, we reunited Apollo, a fourth puppy in Godiva’s litter, with her and his siblings. Apollo was brought in to HRA with his favorite toy, lamb chop, which quickly became a favorite among the whole family. pic.twitter.com/C6icOsKkcK

“Puppies need their mothers and siblings until they are 8 to 10 weeks old, and we are desperately concerned,” HRA said in a statement.
Three of Apollo’s siblings, Aries, Glitter and Link, were recently returned to the shelter, but the remaining three are still missing.
HRA is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information that would help find the missing puppies.
