A Metrobus operator was injured due to a bullet breaking through the glass of the vehicle he was driving in the vicinity of Capital One Arena on Sunday.
The driver working on Metro’s 70 bus route was hurt by shattered glass pieces after a stray bullet hit the bus around 6:30 pm at 7th and H streets NW in Chinatown, according to officials.
The driver’s non-life-threatening injuries were treated at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
The shooting took place during a game between the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers at Capital One Arena.
Monumental Sports tweeted that there was police activity outside the arena, but there was no reason to be alarmed.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating the shooting and searching for the individual or individuals behind the incident.
