The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced it has arrested a food truck driver after he allegedly pulled a gun during an altercation over a parking space at the National Mall over the weekend.
The incident took place at around 5:30 pm on Saturday, May 29, in the 1400 Block of Constitution Avenue, Northwest, near the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Two individuals were involved in an argument about a parking space, during which the suspect brandished a gun, according to a release from MPD. The suspect hit the victim in the head and drove off with his food truck. Then he returned in a Volvo and resumed the argument. He reportedly grabbed a Glock and put a bullet in the chamber.
The flagged down officers for help, while the suspect fled the scene. Responding officers chased and arrested the truck driver, identified as 24 year-old Phi Bui, of Falls Church, VA.

Bui has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a gun without a license.
Bui faces several charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a pistol without a license.
