March for Black Women will take place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on September 29 to stress the importance of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which is expiring on September 30.
The organizers are demanding full reauthorization of VAWA. In a statement, they said the rally is a reminder that issues of black women must be spoken and prioritized.
