Professional Fighters League Playoffs Coming to DC

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) 10 playoffs will be held at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Congress Heights, Washington, D.C., on October 20, officials announced in a press release on Monday.

Fighters from middleweight and welterweight divisions will be competing two times to move to the league finale season which will be held on December 31. The winner of that fight will be awarded a championship belt and a $1 million prize.

Abus Magomedov and Ray Cooper III are the two fighters at the top of 185-pound and 170-pound rankings. Other fighters competing at PLF 10 include veterans like Jake Shields, Rick Story, and John Howard.

Ray Cooper III and Jake Shields will be competing in the quarterfinals rematch.  Shields, a former Strikeforce champion and one-time UFC title challenger, was defeated by Cooper by the second-round in July this year.

The main fight will be shown live on NBCSN.
