‘Rent the Runway’ Returns to DC with Sample Sale

-

Rent the Runway (RTR), an online designer clothing and accessory service, is returning to D.C. with its sample sale from December 13 through December 23 at Georgetown pop-up location, 3330 Cady’s Alley NW.

After its initial sample sale in 2016, this is the first such event held by the RTR in D.C. Shoppers are expected to turn out at the venue in large numbers.

Brands like ML Monique Lhuillier, Diane von Furstenberg, Badgley Mischka, Kate Spade New York and Derek Lam 10 Crosby will be available for guests to shop at this year’s sale. RTR will be donating $1 to Dress for Success for each item that is sold.

Shoppers can buy their favorite pieces, including designer clothing, handbags and accessories, with up to 90% off the retail prices on the sale days.

RTR claims to have changed the way D.C. sees fashion since its opening. Designer labels, which were previously reserved for the New York City streets, are now offering their products, including workwear and holiday party attire for D.C. shoppers.

Earlier this year, RTR announced a partnership with WeWork. Two new clothing drop-off sites in D.C. at WeWork Apollo, 810 7th St. NE, and at WeWork White House were also launched. This partnership makes it easy for members of RTR Unlimited to return clothes after wearing them.
