Sneaker Con will take place on September 7-8 at D.C.’s Walter E. Washington Convention Center with the participation of hundreds of shoe vendors.
With the slogan “Every shoe you can imagine,” Sneaker Con promises to present 150,000 pairs of shoes from 300 companies to visitors, who are also “encouraged to bring their heat and upgrade their collection.”
“Don’t miss The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth” the event brief says.
There will be a “Sneaker Con Authenticated” station, where a team of experts will be ready for examining the shoes brought by attendants and determine if they are legitimate or fake free of charge. Applicants will also be taught some key details on how to tell whether a pair is genuine.

“If you’re not sure about a shoe, bring it over and have it Sneaker Con Authenticated,” the organizers say, adding “If you have shoes that you would like to sell or trade, and you do not plan on purchasing a vendor space, you can still bring the shoes with you.”
There is no limit on the number of shoes brought by each attendant. However, handtrucks, dollies or other vehicles with wheels for carrying shoes are not permitted. It is noted that there is no age limit or ID requirement at the entrance.
The event kicks off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and lasts until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Two-day pass for the event is $40, while you can opt for attending only Saturday or Sunday for $25. The venue is located at 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
