Teen Shot by Off-Duty Pentagon Officer After Trying to Rob Them, MPD Says

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that a minor was shot near Oxon Run Park in Southeast DC after allegedly attempting to rob an off-duty Pentagon officer.

The incident took place at approximately 9 pm on Wednesday in the 1200 block of Mississippi Avenue, Southeast.

The teen reportedly tried to rob a man, who turned out to be a member of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, who fired his gun, shooting the boy in the arm.

MPD officers detained the teenager.

No further details have been provided on the incident.
