The singing competition has been touring around the country in order to collect potential candidates. On September 1, many singers gathered in front of the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina.
A renewed version of the show started on ABC last year, after airing 15 seasons on Fox between 2002 and 2016. The competition’s age limit was between 16 and 24 until the fourth season, which became 15 to 28 in the following seasons.
