D.C. Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs is organizing Chinatown Community Festival, where the guests will get to enjoy music, dance and food tasting, on June 15 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
“Come out and experience the tastes, sights, and sounds of Asian & Pacific Islander cultures at the 2019 Chinatown Community Festival!” the event brief says.
Hosted at Chinatown Park, 5th and I Streets NW, Washington, D.C. 20001, the festival is free and open to the public.
Wushu, “Japanese Drumming” show and “Dog Tricks” show will be performed, while various dances such as Indonesian dance, Hawaiian Halau Hula and Turkmen folk dance will take place.

Among other attractions are fitness demonstrations, food samples, face painting, henna design, 3D paper cutting, K Make-up, as well as other arts and crafts originating from Asia.
Free bike repair will also be offered at the festival area.
