A young man broke into a branch of the sandwich restaurant chain Subway in Northwest D.C. after midnight and made a sandwich, it was revealed by surveillance camera footage.
The camera captured the man entering the restaurant and jumping over the counter at around 1:50 a.m. on August 2. D.C. police released the video, however, the part where he was seen making a sandwich was edited out of the clip. It was reportedly a chicken sandwich priced at $8.49.
The Subway location in question is in the 1700 block of G Street, NW, near George Washington University.
D.C. Police is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspect seen in the surveillance video.
Anyone who provides information that would lead the police to solve the incident and arrest the perpetrator is promised to receive a reward of up to $1,000 under the Crime Solvers of Washington, D.C. program.
