The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) has waived adoption fees for more than 50 dogs that are over 40 pounds through Sunday, May 9.
The group made the announcement earlier this week on Facebook and Twitter, saying they currently have over 50 large dogs available for adoption.
“To get all of these sweet pups into adoptive homes as quickly as possible, we are waiving the adoption fees on large dogs from today through Sunday, May 9,” the post reads.
HRA usually charges between $150-$250 for adoption.

In-person visits have been suspended at HRA’s traditional adoption locations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization is offering virtual adoption services, instead.
“From the comfort of your home you can select an animal, set up a virtual meet and greet, and even conduct a virtual adoption counseling session,” HRA says on its website. To learn more about the stages of the virtual adoption process, click here.
